Marketing Analyst (Excel, SQL, eCommerce)
London

I am looking for an experienced Marketing Analyst for an initial 3 month contract.

You will be joining a newly formed Analytics team and reporting to Head of Analytics. The team consists of 5 roles that support business teams across the company to achieve their objectives, working in partnership with sister data and reporting teams.

The primary purpose of the role is to partner with the Marketing team in delivering their objectives: raising awareness of the brand and driving converting traffic to online properties

Additionally the role will partner with adjacent teams (eg Product team to understand how different traffic converts; onsite messaging etc.) and the wider Analytics and data community to improve understanding of business performance drivers across the company

Responsibilities:
*Leading analysis for Marketing to deliver growth
*Understanding customer behaviour and interaction with the Marketing assets and in to Web and App properties through qualitative and quantitative analysis across all channels: PPC, SEO, Display, CRM, Mobile, Affiliates
*Identifying opportunities and recommending actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of marketing
*Ensuring good quality data is captured and maintained to enable analysis; to include defining tagging needs and synthesis of multiple third-party data
*Developing customer segments for targeting, including deterministic and probabilistic targeting based on lifetime value, behaviour etc.
*Undertaking assessment of offline campaigns against specific objectives
*Establishing and managing multivariate/A|B testing for campaigns/messaging
*Modelling business impact of proposed changes
*Supporting company-wide improvements to timely insight through a stronger platform of data and development of more sophisticated BI tools and content

Skill Set:
*At least 4 years of analytical experience as an analyst; at least 2 years in E-commerce
*Previous experience in optimising online marketing using a range of techniques including segmentation, attribution modelling, econometric modelling
*Excellent Excel skills (including pivot tables); good Powerpoint skills
*Good working knowledge of relevant tools such as Google Analytics, Adometry, Bluekai
*Nice-to-have: experience using BI tools (such as Tableau, Microstrategy) and SQL query writing
