Description

Overview: Looking for a Continuous Improvement Consultant for a 12 month contract. Must have an operations background specifically with fluid/piping, heat exchangers, valves, flanges and other oil/gas related pieces. Will also consider food/utility industry.

Description: Provides leadership to organizational performance and operational continuous improvement efforts with broad enterprise impact. Responsible for identifying operational improvement opportunities, quantifying and developing the value proposition, developing strategies to achieve opportunity objectives, and driving implementation of the strategies into execution with solid project management. Strong focus on ensuring the resulting new practices become fixed into ongoing practices, developing methodologies and facilitating continuous improvement techniques throughout Williams to achieve operational efficiencies and demonstrate measureable, sustainable results. This multi-faceted position works in concert with Operations, Operational Excellence and E&C management and subject matter experts to provide leadership, education, and facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives using proven process improvement/quality methodologies and continuous measurement of performance. Develops plans, sets goals, develops metrics, and partners with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure optimum productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in meeting business unit objectives. A strong project manager that leads large complex projects resulting in significant business impact. A recognized expert that applies continuous improvement practices to energy industry operations.

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of continuous improvement and quality methodologies (ex. Kaizen, Six-Sigma)
  • 5-10 years experience in the natural gas industry
  • Prior roles with focus on operations and/or engineering preferred
  • Strong project management skills (PMP a plus)
  • Strong communications and relationship building skills
  • Should be self-motivated team player with a strong drive for results
  • Strong skills in process design, technical documentation, organizational communications, metrics and scorecard development
  • Technical or Engineering degree preferred
