Description
My client, a leading Financial Institution, is looking for an experienced Financial Business Analyst to join their central Finance Team for a long term contract. The ideal candidate must have significant senior stakeholder management experience, be exam qualified and ideally come from a Finance Background.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to understand the various businesses that the Finance team supports including the products they offer, the markets in which they operate, key processes and how they integrate across the business
- Good understanding of technical accounting and application of accounting policies within a large Financial Institution
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to Senior Stakeholders across the Finance Organisation as well as build effective relationships with the Controller teams and the Financial Control business areas.
Professional/technical experience
- The role holder will have a good understanding of accounting principles and core finance processes. Familiarity with SAP is essential, and Hyperion (RACE) would be desirable. Previous experience in Financial Services preferred.
- In addition, the role requires an individual with an aptitude for delivering results, creative problem solving/issue resolution skills and strong communication skills across different levels of seniority in formal/informal settings. The ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results even in the face of adversity is key.
- Preferable an ACA or equivalent qualified professional with at least 5 years of practical work experience
Personal attributes
- Required to have the presence and confidence to build credibility quickly with stakeholders within and outside of the Finance function. They will have proven communications skills with different levels of seniority, including strong influencing skills.
