Your tasks:
- Deployment of compute, storage, and networking hardware
- Maintaining large Linux/Windows environments (composed of several hundred servers)
- Supporting and maintaining databases for a variety of applications
- Producing and maintaining documentation on installations, incidents, and changes to systems
- Providing leadership and guidance while part of an international and diverse team of IT professionals
Your qualifications
- Knowledge of Linux (CentOS) and Windows servers
- Well versed in handling the administration of virtualized, private cloud platforms
- Strong experience maintaining IT platforms consisting of several hundred servers
- Experience supporting IT systems and infrastructure in a 24x7 production environment
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, with logical networking problem solving from Layer 1 through Layer 7 of the OSI model and ability to troubleshoot network issues at the server and network level
- Awareness of High-Availability concepts and experience working with clusters
- Web technology experience and a grasp of how modern websites function
- Experience in assessing and mitigating system security threats/risks
- Knowledge of shell scripting and other interpreted languages
- Fluency/literacy in English
