Our direct fortune 500 client located in Mayfield Village, Ohio is looking for two Unix/Linux Administrators. Our client is ideally looking for someone with a background in Unix/Linux/Oracle - Unix and Linux is required. Some windows experience is a plus.Required:
System Administration experience in Unix and Linux environments.
Perform administration of the Redhat Enterprise Linux & Oracle Linux operating system environments including Servers, file systems, backups, applications, account and user maintenance, upgrades and repairs.
Monitor performance and reliability. Proactively identify potential problems and make recommendations for upgrades.
Manage files and directories from the command line to performing remote connections and file transfers.
Applying Security Management practices to Unix Servers.
View and modify file and directory permissions.
Plusses:
Proficient in Shell Scripting, UNIX command syntax; high demand based, service oriented environment on UNIX/Windows.
Working knowledge of the architecture, implementation, and support of an enterprise data warehouse.
Assisting Oracle DBAs with basic administration and troubleshooting is a plus.
Windows administration experience is a plus.
