JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Web Application Front End Developer will contribute to the design, coding, and unit testing of Front End of web applications for new or existing web-application products. He/She will be responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of development and provide day-to-day technical guidance to the junior members of the development team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected Sr. Web Application developer will be a leader in the design and development of web applications.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Leads and participates in the coding/configuration, testing, implementation and documentation of solution. Develops detailed design specifications.
- Performs intermediate to complex Front End applications programming activities. Code, tests, debug, documents, maintains, and modifies complex Front End applications.
- Helps develop or enhance systems to monitor the operating efficiency of new or existing web applications and provides (or arranges for) proactive maintenance.
- Participates in the resolution of customer inquiries.
- Serves as a coach and mentor to more junior developers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skill Summary:
7+ years of experience with one or more programming languages or software packages in a web application Front End environment. We are looking for senior web application developers (not web site developers), preferably those who have been doing full-stack development for 7+ years, who have Angular and TypeScript experience. The candidate needs to be someone who wants to work in a team setting. Also, we have a preference for people with .NET Back End.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ year(s): Angular.js
- 2-4 years: JavaScript
- 2-3+ years: HTML and CSS
- 1-2+ years: Front End Unit Testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Protractor, and Karma
- Experience w/Source Control (ie Clear Case, Subversion)
- 1-2 years: writing code that interfaces with REST web services
- 1+ years TypeScript is highly desirable
- Agile experience is a plus.
EDUCATION DESIRED:
- Bachelor Degree desired or equivalent military or work experience
