A leading defence company require a Software Engineer (Ada/C) for an initial 12 month contract

*Job Description*

- A Software Engineering position exists in the Typhoon Avionics Sub System Team, the role will cover problem investigations as well as the design, code and test of new/updated functionality to an existing design and target architecture.

- This task will include the use of enhanced methods and tools in developing/testing/maintaining the new and existing software.

*Responsibilities*

- The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following;

- A Software Engineering position exists in the Typhoon Avionics Sub System Team to cover the coding and testing aspects of adding elements of new functionality to an existing design and target architecture.

-This task will include the use of enhanced methods and tools in developing/testing/maintaining the new and existing software.

Key Responsibilities may include:

- Development of the Risk Class 1 - 3 Software using Ada/C

- Development of the Design using HOOD/Rhapsody.

- Requirements traceability using DOORS & Statemate.

- Unit testing with the use of AdaTEST/Vectorcast.

- E-ICD tool for review of ICD baselines.

- Symbology generation using QCG VAPS.

- SW/SW integration testing with the use of MaTE/TIGER.

- HW/SW integration testing with the use of MaTE TRCF/TIGER.

- Use of AdaMulti and GPS

- Script development using Perl/DCL/SQL.

- The successful candidates will have a degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.

- A good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle is essential and experience of Statemate within the Eurofighter Enhanced Process is desirable.

- The successful candidate must; be pro-active, diligent, and have good problem solving, team-working and communications skills.
