Senior ServiceNow Architect

Background

The client has an initiative to transform its IT Service Management implementation on their ServiceNow platform and are looking for an architect who has a wealth of architecture/solution design experience on the platform.

Summary of Requirements

The position offered is for a ServiceNow Architect who has worked with the ServiceNow product for the last 4-5 years, has 8 years' experience of ITSM technologies/processes, and overall IT experience of at least 12 years

  • The ServiceNow Architect will provide analysis support and be responsible for the review of business processes and customer use cases to support process improvement, automation and service development efforts
  • Understands technical and functional design requirements for ServiceNow
  • Should be able to design high level technical solutions for ServiceNow
  • Architect Integrations with ServiceNow using LDAP, SSO, Mid server, web-services, Email and other relevant technologies
  • Should be able to create prototypes/proof of concepts
  • Understands the necessity of and contributes to coding standards
  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Knowledge Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Service Requests and SLM
  • Experience with ServiceNow Content Management System
  • Understands and is able to configure and manage the workflow engines, UI Actions/UI policy/Access Control Lists etc.
  • Extensive Server Side Scripting experience
  • Used ACL's for controlling the security mechanism in ServiceNow
  • Experience with web technologies/AJAX
  • Developing composite service requests within the Service Catalog application
  • Experience in different Integrations using web-services/MID Server etc.
  • Configuring complex reports
  • Understanding and debugging system logs

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and solution design review and development for new and existing initiatives
  • Information gathering activities such as surveying, analysing and evaluating processes, products and services, by using a variety of internal and/or external data
  • Determine required solutions and assist in implementations
  • Document as is and to be processes and business requirements documents
  • Support project management tasks in the areas of quality control and task management
  • Work with internal customer groups on use case documentation
  • Support business case development work
  • Coordinate work with other development teams/individuals
