We are looking for several MS SQL Database Administrators to work at our multinational client in The Hague or Munich.

Expected tasks and deliverables by the Consultant

  • Maintain the database Servers, review the database setups and configurations and where possible find and propose areas for improvements.
  • Create working procedures for the other team members.
  • Discuss with the development teams and the other administrators how possible design changes can solve problems in future releases.
  • Integration of new systems into the existing environment
  • Ensure 2nd & 3rd line support
  • Document the current environment and changes to it
  • Identify the cause of problems, document, and develop solutions
  • Submit weekly reports to document the work done.

Education and work experience:

  • University degree with minimum 12 years experience in IT and 8 years DBA in MS SQL
  • Excellent experience with SSRS and SSAS
  • Excellent experience in code review, eg for T-SQL stored procedures.
  • Experience working with database design and working together with a development team.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager 2012
  • Knowledge of and experience with AD and ADFS
  • Knowledge of and experience with backup solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008r2 and 2012
  • Certifications in ITIL and Microsoft are an advantage
  • Fluent in English
