Fix Messaging & App Support - London - Banking
My Client, an Investment Bank in London have a brand new requirement for a FIX specialist to come and work in Equity & FX, Market Making team.
This will be to provide functional and technical assistance for suite of applications spanning FIX, DMA and Algorithmic trading.
Key activities:
- Technical subject matter expertise across the product portfolio.
- Communication between software developers, business units, traders and Front Office users.
- Promote application stability by suggesting and implementing monitoring processes and procedures to aid early identification and resolution of problems (ITRS/Tivoli)
- Cover allocation of weekend work and offer support out of hours (on-call)
- Incident, request, problem and change logging, reporting and management
- Status and issue reporting to Group Lead and/or Release Cluster/Project Manager
Essential skills:
- Business and product knowledge in the following areas:
- 5 years + Financial/Banking experience (Equities,
- Futures, Options, ETFs, Warrants, FX).
- 5 years + Functional experience of electronic markets - European, US & Asian Equities and major European & US Derivatives including MTF's.
- 5 years + FIX Experience of using, configuring, trouble-shooting FIX messages, tags and logs across multiple versions of the FIX protocol.
- Trade Order life cycle ie Booking, Capture, Pricing, Enrichment and downstream Integration
- Pre trade risk controls.
- DMA and Algorithmic flow.
