Quality Assurance Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to for a Quality Assurance Manager to join a growing company. The purpose of this role is to provide Project Quality and Supplier management leadership to ensure the successful delivery of software intensive systems to customers in both UK and export markets.. The role will require overall project quality management experience to co-ordinate, manage and report on Quality within Air Operations Systems and Services (AOS&S). To manage and analyse reports to continually improve quality within the project and ensue the quality performance is managed and reported to meet project time-scales.

Maintain and establish effective management of quality and metrics of performance.
This will include a strategy to improve the quality of output by demonstrating a reduction in non-conformance, Improving right first time levels and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented to ensure problems do not recur.

- MAO Quality Manager and quality team.
- Bids & Projects team including Operations
- MAO Operations Director
- Project team members
- Sub-contractors
- Purchasing
- Equipment suppliers

Overall scope of Responsibility

Manage quality and customer satisfaction within the MAO Quality structure including Bids, Projects and Operations and supplier management

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Technical and Professional Skills
Experience in or knowledge of Quality Management and problem solving skills.
Experience implementing analysing and leading development of improved processes, methods and tools - improved quality and productivity.
Experience in working within multi-function teams.
Experience of team working/building and communication skills
RCCAP knowledge and application
Personality and Behaviours
Must be a leader and team player capable of communicating clearly across all functions and levels.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to communicate and drive continuous improvement actions.

Key performance Indicators against Responsibilities and Tasks (professional only): 
Working in co-operation with the Joint Thales/NATS PMO, ensure all aspects of quality governance are in place:
- Monthly reports provided to Quality Manager and Business to agreed timescales
- Customer satisfaction compliments and complaints recorded and actioned
- Quality advises completed on time and risks mitigated
- Internal audit plans in place and completed as per plan and risk mitigated
- Audit plans completed and executed on time to plan.
- Quality - Metrics available demonstrating adherence to Quality plan

Experience:

Essential
- Projects Quality Assurance experience and project reporting monthly
- NQC management and facilitation
- Stakeholder management
- A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Track record of work on own and as part of a team
- An ability to embrace and encourage change.
- Briefing to senior management
- Working within a software Quality Assurance environment

Desirable:
- Experience of working across boundaries, including knowledge of commercial management, best practice supply chain and finance functions.
- Experience of managing quality within large projects
- Member of Chartered Quality Institute
- Engineering or Business Degree/diploma

Financial/Budgetary Responsibility:
- Support local budgetary requirements to deliver effective cost utilisation and support cost reductions.

Qualifications:

Desirable
- 5 years experience in Quality Assurance/Management roles.
- Degree-educated or equivalent
