Programme Planner (Banking) / Planning / Plan / Planner
£400 to £440 a day
Manchester

Responsibilities

  • Development of the Portfolio MS Project plan
  • Consolidate multiple programmes and projects into one meaning full plan
  • Establish a suitable work breakdown structure and milestone hierarchy
  • Develop; Manage and own the Baselining process
  • Establish a weekly updating process and ensure the plan is updated and scheduled accordingly
  • Work with central Programme Office teams to manage the movement of Level 0 & Level 1 milestones
  • Ensure Change Control is in place for movement of key milestones
  • Ensure outputs are produced identifying slippage, bottlenecks and risk to delivery
  • Provide inputs into SteerCo packs and other key reports
  • Establish appropriate Exec graphs and charts to represent current performance
  • Create, update and own the Plan on a Page
  • Collaborate with Project and Programme Managers to ensure plans are aligned
  • Identify internal and external dependencies
  • Manage the dependency process

Essential Experience

  • 5 year plus experience as a Programme Planner/Not Project Manager
  • Expert user on MS Project (ideally 2010 version)
  • Experience of transformational change
  • Flexible approach to project management methodologies
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and Power Point skills
  • Ability to work as part of a large team
  • Able to create schedule performance MI including graphs and charts
