Oracle DBA - Leeds City Centre
£460.00 - £510.00 per day

Reporting to the DBA Manager, the Database Administrator (DBA) will work as part of the IT team supporting the production/test Oracle environments and helping to assist in supplying 3rd line on-call support for core business applications.

You will be responsible for assisting the DBA Team with an ongoing Oracle project which will support a business critical application with high availability and DR. There will also be an element of Production Support with this role, so a successful candidate should have experience of production support, as well as running a project and Oracle RAC installation.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in a dedicated DBA role, designing, building and supporting Oracle 11g and 12c in line with best practice guidelines. Our platform is hosted on both Windows Server 2008 R2 and Red Hat Linux so you will need to be comfortable using both operating systems. You will have experience of using the following Oracle and related technologies:

· PL/SQL
· RAC Clustering
· DBVisit Standby
· DBVisit Replicate
· Solarwinds DPA for Oracle
· RMAN Backups and restoration
· Oracle upgrades and patches
· A successful candidate would understand the differences between SE and EE and have experience working with both editions.
