Description
Our client a leading bank, are currently in need of an experienced Solution/Data Architect. The Bank is currently undertaking a project to deliver a new data warehouse, centred around a Teradata platform and logically modelled according to Teradata's Financial Services Logical Data Model. The chosen candidate will be expected to be self-sufficient in embedding themselves into reporting projects across the Bank to ensure data requirements that are captured are fit for purpose and projects are following best practice and agreed data management patterns. This is a long term contract role paying a very competitive daily rate based in Manchester.The successful candidate will have the following:
Experience of delivering regulatory and financial reporting projects in financial institutions
Able to manage high level and detailed data requirements and the design work following on from this
Experience of data warehousing projects, in particular data modelling and ETL best practice
Experience of Datastage and Teradata would be helpful
Independent-minded and prepared to constructively challenge the way things are done and propose and embed improvements, in particular related to project methods and managing a current state data architecture
