Senior Project Manager / August 2015 / Basel, Switzerland / +6 monthsSenior Project Manager required for our end-client, one of the world's leading companies, in Basel, Switzerland for at least 6 months, starting in August 2015.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Understands the business context of a project and aligns technical teams to achieve overall project success
- Accountable for IS delivery of the project: design and impact assessment, cross-project schedule alignment, technical risk and issue management
- Acts as the systems owner and focal IS contact within a project - Single point of contact inside IS organization
- Manages IS suppliers and ensures quality delivery of contractual deliverables
- Guarantees the involvement of all relevant IS bodies, as per project management best-practices and BCM adherence
- Ensures post go live support
- Accountable for technical documentation in place(e.g. solution design, GoLive reviews)
- Proactively drives IS/Business stakeholder management and provides project visibility and proper reporting inside IS organization
- Ensures smooth transition to steady-state teams
Must haves:
Technical skills
- Good understanding of technology / systems architecture and cost implications
- Sound knowledge of IT (preferably SAP and other applications)
- Application development lifecycle
- IT change and transformation experience
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies, preferably PMI (PMP certified)
Business Management
- Good understanding of project business cases and related business processes
- In-depth and end-to-end understanding of business impact and dependencies between services
