Principal Electrical Engineer - Electronics, Design and Communications.
A Principal Electrical Engineer with Electronics, Design and Communications experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.
This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Principal Electrical Engineer contract role
As Principle Engineer specialising in Voice Communications your main responsibilities will involve: Delivering engineering solutions and support for the internal communication and data systems and proving of the functionality and maintainability of audio applications; including data, networks and telephones within the submarine platform.
Key skills required for the Principal Electrical Engineer
Experience:
- Technology, Communications, Acoustics, Telecommunications
- Experienced in the use/application of standards for certification
- Good knowledge of electrical communications and communication networks
- Degree qualified within an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels through oral and written briefings and technical reports
- Electrical engineering, Electronics, Audio Engineering/Technology, Communications, Acoustics, Telecommunications, Self-Powered Communications, Naval/Military Enclosures
- Design experience of communication network infrastructure/architecture is preferable. Also functionality and testing associate with communications and/or networks.
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
