Description

An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Control Systems Engineer with a a proven background of Matlab and Simulink in the Automotive sector.

Principal Engineer - Hybrid Controls

Minimum degree in an Engineering or Science related discipline (eg electrical and electronic engineering/control engineering/mechanical engineering/physics/computer science/software engineering/maths or similar

Experience Essential:

The successful applicant will have a sound automotive engineering background, a number of years of experience of successfully delivering projects in a controls and electronic environment either in an OEM or Tier 1 capacity having lead teams of engineers.

- Experience in control systems for Hybrid vehicle systems and extensive experience in the application of these systems in production projects
- Analytical approach to developing controls algorithms in an automotive environment
- Fluent in a model-based development languages such - Matlab/Simulink, Embedded Coder, Targetlink, ASCET
- Ability to understand C-Code

Responsibilities: To lead technical teams and deliver client projects:

- Provide technical leadership for teams of engineers involved in controls and electronic projects for Hybrid Vehicle applications
- Interface directly with clients on technical issues
- Focus on delivery of projects on-time and on-budget
- Technical guidance for the development of control systems
- Technical negotiations with clients and support of commercial discussions
- Driving the further introduction of quality procedures and validation processes
- Support of the Sales Teams in the development of market opportunities through client interaction, proposal support and roadmap development
- Promotion of capability throughout the Company's global customer base
- Drive the development of future products and services
