Job Description:- Create end deliverable of completed Access database for group to use to track sales of products.
- Will combine 3 sources of data to collect data from individuals within group.
Duties:
- Review the current external data files sales activity (SAP) and vehicle forecasts (LMC)
- Review the current sales breakdown process (excel templates), and modify as necessary to streamline the effort required to create this information. The effort to build a complete file for all customers should begin immediately upon project initiation.
- Review requirements for reports/output files Review processing requirements
- Draft the process flow for the new reporting tool
- Design input file structures
- Design processing logic
- Design intermediate file requirements
- Design the output file structures
- Design processing controls
- Select 2-3 customers and use their breakdown information to link the sales information to the LMC vehicle forecast data
- Validate processing rules
- Validate data structures
- Validate reporting needs
- Identify issues/concerns
- Obtain approval of pilot results from the project team
- Design basic reports; report specifics will be defined in the design phase and validated during the pilot
- Design detailed reports
- Design extract queries
- Draft processing procedures for the database owner
- Draft an extract process
- Draft system documentation
- Find and Correct any minor glitches in system
- Test complete process for accuracy, usability and completeness with database manager
