Description
I'm currently looking for an experienced WordPress developer to help me with extending an existing site/application based on WP. I'm a developer myself and need help from someone on an hourly basis, for several months for sure, likely longer.
You will work closely with me but be asked to take the initiative on your workload, so self-motivation is a must! Your work needs to be focused on accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness.
This opportunity is for 10-20 hours per week initially, with the potential for more hours if you perform well.
The requirements of the position are:
Extensive WordPress experience, incl. advanced proficiency with modern PHP & MySQL development, including object oriented PHP. WordPress developement: 3+ years Understanding and interpreting functionality requirements into robust web applications Good understanding of how web applications and APIs work Developing and maintaining complex WordPress-based applications Practical experience with CSS3, HTML5, AJAX and jQuery, BackboneJS, etc. Experience using bug tracking and SVN software Good written and verbal communication
Responsibilities include:
Create new WordPress plugins to extend the site functionality Enhance existing WordPress plugins and themes
