C/C++, Video Codec, Transport streams, Linux

I am currently looking for a software engineer to work for a client of mine on a brand new Greenfield project. You will be required to have transport streams experience as well as strong development experience in C/C++. All the software will initially be developed onto a linux platform.

Job Type: Contract

Location: London

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £35-£45 p/h

The company are a growing SME business with ambitious plans for continued growth into new markets. You will be working on a new Greenfield project, solely, where your experience with transport streams is essential.

Although this is an initial 3 month contract there is the possibility of extending this further.

In order to apply for this role you will need to have experience with the following areas:
  • Implementing a transport stream muxer from scratch
  • Have experience in the broadcasting industry, but more on the encoding side


Skills Needed:
  • C/C++ software development
  • Development onto linux platforms
  • Transport streams experience
  • Video codecs (H.264, MPEG, OnVIF etc)


Any experience developing onto windows platforms would also be advantageous.
