My client, a Leading Insurance company with offices across the UK and Yorkshire, are now looking to recruit an experienced Technical Analyst to join their Enterprise Systems team.
This is a great opportunity, external training provided in any areas of skills you don't have experience, main area for skills is Windows Server and VMWare.
Senior Technical/Technical Analyst - VMWare, Windows Server consists of working within the Enterprise Systems team (part of IT Infrastructure and Operations Services). Technical skills such as VMWare, Windows Server, UNIX, SAN, DNS, SQL Server, Active Directory.
The Senior Technical/Technical Analyst- VMWare, Windows Server position will have specific responsibility for the installation, configuration and support of both development and production VMware and Windows Server and Storage infrastructures.
The management of server based application software will also be a key component of the role.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer tasks will include:
.Design, documentation and subsequent installation, configuration and support of applications and infrastructure required to sustain the various phases of VMware and Windows Server and Storage implementation, from development through to live transition and support.
Ideal Candidate for the Senior Technical/Technical Analyst:
.Administration and support of the organization's Mission Critical UNIX
.Storage and SAN infrastructures
.Experience of managing Enterprise server based application software
.A proven working knowledge and experience of CLI and Shell Scripting methodologies
.Experience of providing IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery services combined with a solid understanding of Data Backup and Recovery
.A solid understanding of performance monitoring and tuning techniques in Windows and VMware based environments combined with an appreciation of the importance of regular and accurate capacity management
.A proven track record in the diagnosis and resolution of complex technical problems
.Knowledge of Storage replication technologies including HP Continuous Access EVA and HP Site Recovery Manager
.Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server
.Knowledge of Server and Storage hardware
.An excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and troubleshooting including DNS, Active Directory, routing, IP port allocation, interoperability with Firewalls
