Innovation CryptoCurrency Engineer

The appropriate candidate will be actively encouraged to seek innovative ideas and fresh thinking for strategic technical solutions and enhancements to business needs. We are looking for candidates who will be help maintain our success as leaders within global Payments and accelerate our efforts to become a major part of the future of Payments and Digital Money.

The successful individual must have background in innovation including design thinking, prototyping and also have solid commercial awareness.


  • Extensive experience in the financial industry with a specialist in the payments/receivables.
  • Exposure to the digital money space and understanding of its current/potential impact on the traditional payments space.
  • Proficient in Linux technology stack and extensive experience developing with C++.
  • Experience of delivering complex programs involving multiple stakeholders across different geographical locations with a significant amount of uncertainty.
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of early stage initiatives through to successful delivery
  • Experience of applied research, experimental development and early design activities to validate/invalidate ideas.


  • Aware of the implementation details of commonly used C++ features and features and how to use that knowledge to help implement efficient yet maintainable code.
  • Creative problem solver comfortable with working in rapidly evolving landscape and projects loaded with uncertainty.
  • Technologically strong and business savvy.
  • Experience with TDD (Test Driven Development).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups from senior stakeholders and clients to junior team members.
  • A number of skills will be strengthened by this position including senior stakeholder management, project/program management, strategic thinking, tactical & operational solution provision, senior internal/external client interaction, risk management, and presentation & reporting skills.


  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • A bachelor's degree or post-graduate qualifications (Innovation/Banking field desirable)
  • Experience working with innovative and emerging technology.
