Description

Job Title: SAS Developer

Location: Blackpool

Contract: 4 to 5 months (with possible extension)

Rate: Upto £480 per day

Essential Experience:

  • Unique skills set will be SAS to allow Data & Analytics to bring in-house a number of services currently provided by external suppliers.
  • To meet the challenging demands on the division's skill set and to facilitate the successful delivery of the projects associated with Technology's high priority agenda. Contractors will be working on the GMS/RMS Project.
  • There are other key contractors on this and other teams that are plugging the resource/skills/experience gaps whilst we try and recruit and train up our in-house knowledge, but this process is slow as the learning curve is very steep in these technical roles.
  • SAS Developer will be responsible for the:
    • Design and build of SAS matching data strategies and statistical programs Document algorithms and procedures.
    • Create large data set programmes of unmatched or exception data. Develop and maintain SAS databases supporting analysis data activities.
    • Edit and modify SAS programs to perform logical edits in order to rectify data inconsistencies and anomalies.
    • Interpret and summarize analyses, and write reports. Consult with program managers regarding data acquisition, analysis, and requirements.
    • Maintain data security for all collected data and processed data.
    • This is a sophisticated IT environment and resource will be working alongside highly-skilled colleagues.
    • However, they will also need good communication skills and the ability to communicate with a non-technical audience.
    • For this role we're looking for people with technical competencies that include Datamodelling (ERrwin preferred), Base SAS.
