Job Title: Functional/Technical BI Consultant
Job Location: Laakdal, Belgium
Job Type: Contract
The Functional/Technical Cognos BI Consultant is primarily responsible for development and/or implementation of reporting and analysis solutions. Specific business knowledge and experience in the domain of Distribution & Logistics and Sales is a must. This role requires strong client facing skills, requirements gathering and analysis skills. You also need to have excellent interpersonal and team working skills, strong communication abilities at various levels.
The Role Responsibilities are as follows:
Development in Cognos (must).
Analysis of business processes (logistics, Sales) and functional design activities;
Describe functional requirements as a conceptual input to application design (business requirements, database model design and/or possible interfaces to the data warehouse, define and develop enterprise reporting solutions such as scorecards, management dashboards, );
Project management experience (Agile) is definitely an asset;
Being able to provide training covering BI related concepts and tools.
The Required skills are as follows:
Has relevant experience with IBM Cognos v10 (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer, Active reporting, MDX, Cognos Workspace Advanced,).
Has experience with Multi-Dimensional Modelling;
Knowledge of Visualization techniques/methodologies
Has a passion for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing;
Strong Experience as a BI functional/technical consultant;
Conceptual knowledge of ETL process and functions;
