Description

Seeking a qualified CAD Engineer to join a high energy team focusing on optimization of workflows within a large compute environment. In this role you will be working with global teams to research, understand and optimize advanced EDA workflows in large compute grids. Requires deep understanding of EDA workflow functionality. Workflow improvements include focus on processor usage and optimization of resources including licenses, compute, time and storage.

Research, evaluate, and articulate advanced EDA workflows, and propose optimizations for large compute grids. Analyze production procedures and problems, evaluate the effectiveness of existing solutions, making recommendations to improve quality, and/or efficiency. Create scripts, dashboards, utilities to enable team members insight into workflows and potential areas of improvements.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience around creation or support of semiconductor EDA workflows in one of the following:
*Back End: Routing, timing and physical verification with experience in tools such as ICC, Olympus, Encounter, Calibre, or Primetime
*Front End: Work flows in design verifications, simulation, and synthesis with experience in tools such as Synopsys VCS, Modelism, and Verilog
2+ years of Scripting experience with languages such as Perl and Python Preferred

Qualifications:
Familiarity with major EDA vendor tools, such as Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor
Knowledge of advanced IC digital design and workflows with a focus on workflow optimization
Ability to analyze workflow performance data
Ability to create small utilities or dashboards to represent workflow interactions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor's, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field. Preferred: Master's, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field..LI-SRC
