Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for the overall site delivery, managing supervisors and dealing with operational issues, including various size teams of operatives per contract, specifically reporting to and supporting the designated Contract Manager.

Responsible for the delivery of the Installation of EWI & Plumbing and Heating, and developing effective working relationships with our clients. This will also include colleagues both internal and external to the business in order to deliver the business objectives.

Key activities

Managing teams of labour including ascertaining skills, knowledge, training and performance abilities.

Reporting on all key data including costings, work plans, labour requirements and supply chain activity.

Maintaining documentation in existing data filing systems.

Working to continuously measure, report and maximise productivity.

Providing additional technical advice and assistance to operatives regarding installation, supporting and working with supervisors when required.

Main responsibilities of role

Manage day to day installations to the customer/client satisfaction.

Work to the businesses Key Performance Indicators ensuring targets are achieved and exceeded where possible.

Contribute to the management of the cost effective delivery of all project activity.

Manage the labour allocation of circa. 50+ operatives to ensure efficient provision of all services.

Embrace technical advancements and proactively champion initiatives to the wider team.

Fully expedite all contractual issues in an efficient time period.

Regular and informative reporting to the Management & Client Management team.

Develop a network of key partner contacts.

Support the delivery of new and enhanced work processes and work with colleagues and partners to deliver them in an effective manner.

Contribute to the achievement of operational targets and maintain tight control of operational costs in accordance with the contractual budgets and associated departments.

Supervise operational health and safety and regulatory compliance as required.

Supervise all employee related matters working closely with the HR department to ensure optimum team functionality.

Offering effective solutions to your team, management, colleagues and partners on all operational matters within a responsive time.

Key Skill Requirements

Previous Site Manager experience is essential.

Experience of managing people is essential.

Experience in refurbishment is essential.

Experience in construction is essential.

Holding a valid CSCS card is essential.

Experience in Social Housing, New Build or Decent House is preferable.

SMSTS training or equivalent.

EWI experience is preferable.

Plumbing and Heating Supervisory/management experience is not essential but would be of a benefit additional training given.

Ability to maintain optimum business performance in a quality focused and target driven environment.

Ability to work with a wider team of colleagues and management at all levels

Ability to maintain self motivated and continually meet targets, deadlines, and changing priorities - a flexible approach to overcoming difficulties and getting the job done.

Strong interpersonal and man management skills, including the ability to challenge processes for continuous improvement.

Sound commercial acumen and analytical and problem solving skills.

Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including word, excel and Powerpoint.

Full driving licence.
