Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing firmware for a range of high performance LED products, working on both next generation products and supporting Legacy platforms for a renowned company based in Swindon.
Working within the engineering group you will be a member of a cross-functional team focused on delivering high performance products; defence, commercial and industrial, to customers around the world.
This position is suited to a self-motivated individual who is eager to see their efforts make a significant contribution to the success of the company.
Essential Skills required
The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree in Electronics or related, with a minimum of 3 years or industry experience and with the following capabilities:
*Strong architecture and C# programming skills with demonstrated expertise in design, implementation and test of firmware
*Demonstrated ability to analyse issues, to diagnose root cause, to develop solutions and apply corrective actions
*Knowledge of IP Ethernet protocols
Desirable Skills:
Ability to work independently, to be proactive, to multitask effectively and exhibits strong communication and collaborative skills.
Visual Basic programming
Understanding of serial interfaces such as I2C, SPI and RS232
FPGA programming (ie Xilinx, Altera)
Experience in preparing customer facing reports and using version control systems
