SOC Consultant - Shenzhen/China

We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to join their project in China.

Position Title: SOC Consultant

Position Type: Contract

Start Date:September 2015

Duration: 12 months

Location:Shenzhen

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the solution sales and continuous improvement through operation consultancy related to SOC transformation - operator high-level engagement and pain points identification.

  • Responsible for development of NOC to SOC transformation including reactive (customer care) and proactive (monitoring and analysis) service flow.

  • Incorporate and optimize designed processes to operationalize Service Operations according to reviewed customer processes (enable the design into project practice, and optimize SOC transformation framework, methodology and deliverables; SOC process integration design (SOC-NOC synergy) in different projects scenarios).

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish user requests underlying true needs.

  • Prepare and update design documentation.

  • Drive resolution of service performance issues through effective process measurement designs.

  • Provide training to service partners.

  • Provide/Support high level design of SOC transformation including processes, organization/roles responsibility.

  • Design for new domain according to customer requirements or optimize the previous designs, for example, continuous improvement in operation or SLA management.

Qualifications/Skills required:

  • Thorough understanding of mobile service call flows, eg Voice call, SMS, prepaid and data services.

  • Strong understanding of network KPIs in mobile network domain.

  • Knowledge of subscriber complaints processes in the network domain in operator's' environment.

  • At least 8-10 years experience within operator's' environment, preferably in network quality or mobile performance departments.

  • Education: 4 year university degree in Telecommunications or Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering.

  • Language Skills: English & Chinese (preferred).
