Description
We are currently recruiting for a GIS Developer for our client based in the Netherlands
Job Tasks:
- Server Configuration (Website, ArcGIS, etc.);
- Server Administration System (Drupal);
- Technical Documentation (User and Administrator Manuals, Help Sections, etc.).
- Website Development (Design, Layout, Structure, Visual Identity, etc.);
- Development of Web Tools (Library, News & Feeds, etc.);
- Development of Mapping Tools (UH Atlas Transposition, UFF Tool, UH Atlas Data Visualisation Tools, etc.)
- Development of Web Applications (Statistics, Dashboards, Buttons, Live/Interactive Infographics, etc.) Task IV:
- Website Maintenance
- Website Updates
- Website Analytics
Knowledge and skills
- In depth knowledge of GIS software and tools
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems
- In depth knowledge of SQL
- Good knowledge of geospatial data analysis
- Good knowledge of programming languages
- Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
- Good knowledge of modelling tools (eg UML)
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in team.
Education and experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 2 years GIS experience
- Minimum 2 years of analysis and programming experience
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems
- Experience with SQ
- Experience in web application development
