Description
My client, a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank, is looking for a C++ Development Manager to lead a London team that is part of a global Market Risk function responsible for developing systems that calculate and report VaR, provide aggregated risk reporting, stress testing and Regulatory Capital numbers.
Responsibilities
- Mentoring and line management of a team of developers
- Some hands on development and code reviews
- Enterprise level technical architecture
- Work with Risk Managers and business analysts to translate and accurately understand business requirements
- Ensure that the development approach is rigorous and repeatable in line with the high standards expected of a regulatory system
- Project management including estimation, scheduling, milestone tracking verification, risk management and project status reporting
Skills required
- Experience developing multi-threaded C++ applications
- Investment banking background in Risk - preference given to Market Risk
- Experience leading a team of developers - C++/C#/Java focused
- Experience in an Agile environment - SCRUMs/Sprints etc
