I am currently recruiting on behalf of a proactive and well known company for a multi-skilled engineer in the West Sussex area to join their friendly, hardworking team.

The role will be to maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation within the Company planned maintenance system on a day to day basis with responsibility of working on own initiative during shifts, reporting to the engineering manager or senior engineer on site.

Principle Accountability's/ Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure the Engineering maintenance carried out in line with schedule and corrective action is taken.

To deliver maintenance on schedule and to deal with any unscheduled and emergency maintenance work, including all fault finding and necessary repair.

Communicating unscheduled downtime to Engineering Manager and Production Managers and the corrective action required.

Housekeeping. All works performed in a manner consistent with the high standards required in a food production environment.

Dealing with day to day issues and identifying and delivering repair and maintenance as needs arise for them.

Identification of improvements that can be made to line and other operations.

Ensuring that engineering supplies requested as appropriate to maintenance work being carried out

Carrying out work with due diligence in respect to our health and safety standards

Ensuring that all processes are conducted within safety guidelines as determined by the Engineering Manager and Health & Safety Officer.
