Where does this role fit in to Version 1?

Version 1 has an exciting role for a dynamic and enthusiastic business analyst and project manager who enjoys working with clients and internal staff alike. You will be a solid team player and superb communicator who can deliver excellence in all aspects of your work. You will be based on site and manage a large, complex and multifaceted project from analysis all the way through to delivery.

What skills do I need to succeed in this job?

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to organise and lead and manage a team of experienced consultants and work with the clients own internal teams. This role will be client facing and requires the ability to efficiently analyse data, manage workflow and communicate accurately with various stakeholders on implementation milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working on-site with a project team on business initiatives, you will complete detailed business requirements specifications meeting stated business objectives
  • Using your consulting skills, you will follow the IIBA's BABOK best practice approach to elicit requirements from business users using
    • Document analysis
    • Requirements workshops
    • Surveys, interviews
    • Use cases
    • Business analysis, workflow analysis and defined business processes etc

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources

Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders on an on-going basis

Work with the design, development, test and other teams to ensure detailed business requirements are understood and traceable

Identify inter-dependencies between the various stake holder groups to ensure they are aligned

Identify risks and ensure they are communicated to relevant parties

Managing large Business Change programmes.

What other attributes will I need to be successful?

Technical Skills

  • At least 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst
  • Primary Degree in IT or Business Studies
  • Experience of process design and of system integration (best practice process driven)
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft desktop products, particularly Excel, Word and Visio
  • You must be able to develop good relationships with relevant stakeholders and ensure their needs are met, while remaining focused on the delivery of efficient and value-adding solutions to our clients.
  • You must have experience in handling the challenge of consulting on a customer site and developing working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • The candidate must have proven project management experience ideally gained experience within an SI or Managed Service provider
  • Manage client relationships through effective informal reviews, formal governance and accurate reporting.
  • Personal drive and the ability to lead by example and motivate all concerned.
  • It will be essential that they are agile and proactive in their approach; but robust enough to manage uncertainty, be able to adjust to rapid change and mitigate the effects of ambiguity and surprise.

  • Proven track record of working effectively within a team.
