Rate: 330 per day
Description
One of Ireland's largest IT departments have an immediate requirement for an Information Security consultant to assist with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of a highly secure environment by minimizing the potential intrusion by external and internal parties to data across all entities.
Key activities
- Ensuring work carried out is aligned to scope of project
- Instigating Qualys/OWASP Application Scans
- Reviewing and analysing scan results and providing recommendations
- Undertaking remedial work including the raising of tickets relating to work for other units to carry out
- Providing weekly updates of work carried out, issues, outstanding work etc.
- Any other work that is deemed necessary to complete this project
Skills & Experience
- Good understanding of network protocols/services and topologies
- Knowledge of firewall/router and switching technology
- Ability to run OWASP scans and do risk assessments
- Ability to monitor/analyse relevant log files
- Vulnerability and patch management experience
- Understanding of Active Directory and dns.
- Access control understanding
- Experience with NAC and monitoring and logging solutions (e.g. Cisco ISE, SSIM, Varonis)
- Experience dealing with customers, 3rd parties and vendors
- Project management and delivery.
- Ability to work on one's own initiative and also as part of a team
- Working knowledge of application architecture. Monitoring and reviewing access for applications and databases systems.
- Experience working in a multi-culture environment
