For one of our clients in Arnhem, Holland and Bayreuth, Germany, we are looking for a Project Manager with proven experience with IT tenders.
This is for at least 12 months plus extensions. (start of with 2-3 days a week now, then fulltime)
As a project manager, you are responsible for organising, preparing, planning, executing and finishing the project.
The execution of the project is based on the Prince2 methodology whereas together with the executive and the Contract & Supplier Manager you will be responsible for defining the Project Initiation Documentation where scope, prerequisites (time, resources, quality and risks) are defined and agreed upon.
Main goal of the project is to guarantee the future delivery of international high quality IT services for the client, taking into account the overall strategic approach. This implies the timely awarding of new contracts with sufficient degrees of freedom allowing the in- or outsourcing of services.
In scope of the project are all activities related to an optimal preparation of the public tendering procedure to come related to the tendering procedure itself including awarding contracts related to the preparation of a potential transition to new providers
The project will be executed to facilitate both the Dutch and the German part of IT, based in Arnhem (NL) and Bayreuth (DE)
The main responsibilities of the project manager are to successfully deliver the project results amongst which: Lead the international project team. Perform the tender preparation, the EU tender(s) and optionally the transition to the new contracts. Definition of project documentation, stage plans and business case together with the executive and the Contract & Supplier Manager.
Establish key relationships with the executive and other key stakeholders. Deliver Project Status Report for the Project Steering Group and other stakeholders. Financially control the project with insight in all types of resources needed. Day to day steering of the project team according to the stage plans. Implementation of the project deliverables to realise the project goals.
The project manager will be reporting to the executive (senior manager IT).
Functie-eisen Requires 8+ years IT Project Management experience in complex projects. Experience with procurement policies and European Tender projects (references required) Experience in working within a Dutch as well as a German environment. Experience with IT sourcing projects & tenders. IPMA C or B and Prince2 Practitioner certified. Politically very sensitive. Communicating on all organisational levels. Being able to create plans (stage plans) with a clear insight in milestones and related cost, enriched with progress on a milestone basis during stage execution.
Excellent English skills, both verbally and written. Proactive attitude and endurance. Effective communicator, with excellent influencing and negotiating skills. Ability to adapt to and manage change. Willingness to travel frequently.
