Solutions Architect - SOA
Location - Bradford, West Yorkshire
Duration - 3 months initially
Rates - £flexible depending on skills/experience
As a Solutions Architect you will join a leading organisation to ensure that all business initiatives that require IT involvement are approached from a strategic perspective and aligned to the overall IT Strategy.
This organisation is going through large scale transformation, which includes new online B2C product launch, and utilising technology to optimise it's processes and workforce. Any experience delivering solutions into the online or mobile workforce space would be of particular benefit.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the division gets the best possible value from its distinct application suite
- Design solutions which enable business processes, improving efficiency and quality of outcomes and in overall alignment with the divisional application strategy
- Develops a thorough understanding of latest industry trends in order to recommend innovative value-add solutions to the business and its clients.
- Prepare framework solutions or template designs
- Act as a technical problem solver to project and operational teams
- Coaching of individuals in project and operational teams to increase knowledge and expertise
- Creation of business cases for technology specific initiatives
- Produce and maintain Strategic Architectures and Roadmaps, Policies and Procedures
Skills/Experience:
- Significant experience as a Solutions Architect
- Knowledge around Microsoft technologies - .NET (C#, ASP.NET), SQL Server, WCF
- SOA - Service Oriented Architecture, SOAP, REST, XML integration knowledge
- Knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman
- Strong stakeholder management/engagement skills
- Financial Services sector experience - desirable
- Experience of Oracle/Linux - desirable
