Description

Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for an IMS Programmer to support both Application Developers and Database Administrators.

Required:
IMS Systems Programmer with IMS Database and IMS Transaction Manager in a large volume IMS system. (7+ years).
Experience with the implementation and testing of IMS USER Exits.
Thorough understanding of IMS Internals including component integration, maintenance and generation processes
Expertise in using online and offline IMS utilities
Strong problem diagnosis and resolution skills.
Experience in using change management tools for implementing database changes.
Ability to collaborate and be a strong team player. Must possess strong verbal, written, presentation skills.

Plusses:
Install, plan, implement and support WebSphere MQ new versions and maintenance using SMP/E and MQ build processes.
Install, plan, implement and support 3rd party vendor products used to support MQ for z/OS.
Build and maintain MQ subsystems as required by the business.
Provide technical support to the Middleware MQ teams and other Operational teams.
Provide operational support of MQ in the production and 14 development environments.
Provide MQ for z/OS support for Disaster Recovery tests.
Provide analysis and problem identification of MQ for z/OS and related 3rd party product problems.
