We are looking for a Software Developer in Montreal, QC - details:
Location: Montreal, QC
Duration: 6 months

A Services Professional mainly interacts with other Client Services Professionals, other groups within the Service Delivery organization, and with customers on issues related to site engineering, troubleshooting of network problems, and in training sessions. Often plays a role as project member during delivery phase of projects and can hold a leader type of role (Implementation lead, System Verification lead, Development lead, etc.).
Main Responsibilities
Based on business needs, responsibilities may include the following:
- Deliver services within site engineering, integration and/or configuration and/or support of products and networks in accordance with a customer service contract.
- Identify faults and troubleshoot these, according to a set of defined alternatives, and apply standard resolving processes in the network.
- Perform complex updates/upgrades of live networks
- Conduct customized integration of products/networks, including 3rd party products
- Plan, design and optimize the network based on the customers' requirements on the technical functionality.
- Develop and design methods, tools and scripts within a defined framework and in accordance to customer and solution requirements.
- Participate in on-call support rotations within the technical teams
- Participate in technical reviews and provide on-site support to our customers, local support offices and Client organizations.
- Hands-on configuration of the solution
- Documents the new and changed functionality. User guide and tutorial documents are needed for each changed or new function.
- Develops and documents test cases for execution and delivery
- Installs, integrates and configures (develops) the former CW products/modules (EOC and Catalog)
- Performs acceptance testing (ATP)
- Has frequent contact with the external customers or Client Solution Architect.
Design
- Perform requirement analyses
- Create specifications

- Perform programming
- Perform Unit test on all code
- Assist with test case development
Split of activities:
- Non procedural application definition using ConceptWave Metadata Designer Tool.
- Java Scripting with ConceptWave specific object model
- Java programming
Accountabilities
- Deliver all services as per the Client Global Processes.
- Expected to travel internationally and sometimes on short notice with variable durations (60-200 days per year).
- Play significant role in improvement initiatives
- Responsible for continuously keeping your competence and skills up to date
- Expected to mentor others
- May be expected to take on senior roles such as Team Leader, etc.
- Actively contributes to knowledge sharing
- Take ownership of deliverables
Recommended Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
Pertinent Experience:
Over 5 years of relevant experience in a Software or Telecommunications environment where at least 3 of those years are in a System Engineering/development position or equivalent.
Competence
- Good knowledge of Server Side JavaScript
- Good knowledge of WSDL, XSD and XML
- Good knowledge of workflow concepts such as BPM, BPMN, BPML and BPEL.
- Good knowledge of HTML
- Good knowledge of integration technologies/frameworks including AXIS, SOAP, JMS, HTTP, Socket, FTP, SMTP/POP and integration platforms (EAI, ESB, BPI) such as JMS, MQ, WLI and Tibco
- ConceptWave Portfolio is a MUST (EOC, Catalog, UWS, etc.)
- Very good knowledge of operator networks & business environments.
- Very good knowledge of Wireless and broadband networks.
- Very good knowledge of OSS and BSS Domain.
