Senior Engineer with C, PHP, JS

Description

Sucuri is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our R&D (Research and Development) team. You need to be able to write clean and secure code and also deploy it live on a continuous base as part of our weekly releases. You will be responsible for frontend and backend code (+APIs), so a good understanding of both is required.

As a senior developer you would also be responsible for code reviews and guiding more junior developers on their work.

We use C and PHP extensively on our backend, along with PHP/JS on our frontend, so experience with at least one of them is required.

Sucuri R&D
The Sucuri R&D (Research and Development) team is responsible for building and maintaining Sucuri's suite of security products. This includes our web site scanning engines, malware detection and clean up solutions, along with our website firewall and backups.

This is a high pace environment, one in which you would be pushing code live almost every day. Unlike most development shops where you likely have a rigid work flow and release process, ours is very lean and quick. Our environment is compromised of various languages but emphasis in C and PHP is a must.

The ability to adapt to any language will be quickly evident when working within our environment.

Technical Requirements:

Senior developer with 5+ years of professional experience

Ability to adapt to various languages

Linux administration and management experience – Plus

Firm understanding of security principles and use of good security practices

Broad understanding of web architecture and scalable platforms
