Senior Financial Analyst - Kingswood, Surrey - 9 Months

We are recruiting for contract Full time Finance Analysts to join our Finance Accounting Operations team for 9 months.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting Operations, you will be on-the-job learning and documenting either product ledger or box management processes with a view to migrating those processes to another location, including training new staff and establishing financial controls.

We are looking for qualified or part qualified ACCA or CIMA accountants

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to migrate the following responsibilities to the new location:
Processing of product ledger data, including preparation and posting of journals to the Oracle accounting system and other relevant accounting applications, as part of statutory financial or regulatory reporting period end close, in accordance with Accounting Operations KPI's and Finance timetables.
Processing of daily fund box positions to deadlines set to enable dealing on those funds.

Financial reconciliations, including the investigation and clearance of outstanding items, as per deadlines mandated in the Accounting Operations reconciliations KPI spreadsheet, ensuring the reasons for reconciling items are clearly and concisely explained.
Accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial/management accounts, related revenue and balance sheet commentary, regulatory returns and other management information, in accordance with Accounting Operations KPI's and Finance timetables.

During the transition you will be expected to:
Adhere to robust financial controls in compliance with Group Standards, statutory and regulatory requirements and the risk and control framework.
Identify and suggest improvements to processes.
Ensure procedure notes are up to date and fit for purpose.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
* Advanced Microsoft Excel, ideally including VBA programming
* Knowledge of Life and Pensions products and accounting
* Team player and calm under pressure.
