Financial Planning Analyst, Data, Subledger, London, 6 months

Bank of America Merrill Lynch are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Planning Analyst to join their team working on an EMEA Change Piece.

The individual will apply a mix of accounting, data analysis, and project management skills to work as part of a team designing and implementing process/system changes. They will need to liaise across various areas of the bank (Finance, Middle Office, Operations and Treasury etc.)

The role will involve collaborating with multiple business partners across the bank to understand different reporting systems and the front to back transaction flow. The candidate will also need to proactively engage with the change management and technology teams responsible for improving our data quality and assist efforts on feed development/enhancement and overall process design to close the gaps identified.

All Skills need to be CLEARLY VISIBLE within your CV/Application:

*Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent qualification)
*Likely to have Big 4 or larger consulting firm experience
*Fundamental accounting and reconciliation skills
*MS Excel proficiency (pivots, data comparison etc.)
*Well organised, driven and delivery focused - tenacious in solving problems and driving to a conclusion
*Strong control mentality
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Flexibility to deal with multiple concurrent issues and tasks - ability to self manage and prioritise
*High level of ownership and attention to detail

The ideal candidate will also have:

*Experience of Finance sub-ledger, general ledger and data warehouse reporting systems
*Database/information architecture knowledge
*Familiarity with Investment Banking products and understanding of basic finance flows
*Working knowledge of PowerPoint
*Business Intelligence/Query tools (MS Access/Spotfire/Essbase)
