Hybrid Market Risk Business Analyst Project Manager, Framework, Canary Wharf 6 months


Tier One Investment Bank is looking to appoint an Hybrid Business Analyst/Project Manager to work on a Market Risk Framework Regulatory Project based in Canary Wharf on an initial 6 month contract.

Essential:
*Strong analytical and problem solving capability - experienced in defining clear and comprehensive requirements, and determining logical solutions
*Good project management skills in managing tasks, schedules and coordinating a diverse pool of resources
*Strong communication skills (written and verbal) - ability to successfully engage with a broad set of stakeholders from Risk SME's including quants, engineers, to FO, technology etc
*Good understanding and hands-on experience in calculation and application of VaR and other market risk capital methodologies
*Exposure to systems, data and processes involved in generating market risk capital and P&L within an Investment Banking environment
*The authority to take ownership of the production of key documents eg BRD's as and when required
*Proactive approach to determine analysis required in order to deliver/complete requirements definition
*Organised and focused, being able to understand priorities and meet tight deadlines
*Being technical, able to dig into data, able to work with large sets of data
*Initiative, being able to do work without supervision
*Experience working in Market Risk Change programmes
*Good team-player

Knowledge:
*Pricing of variety of instruments
*Understanding VAR calculation, sensitivity, market data
*Basic knowledge/understanding of trade life cycle
*Ideally recent experience in bank, hedge fund, trading house
*Ideally some involvement with regulatory changes
*Data manipulation using Excel

Desired:
*Professional risk qualification (eg FRM, PRM )
*Good academics
