Description
We are currently recruiting for a Database Developer for our client based in Brussels for a contract position.
Task
- Design, implementation and maintenance of database layer of multi-tier applications
- Data analysis and modelling
- Development and maintenance of database stored procedures
- Database configuration and optimisation
- Database integration with AFIS applications
- Execution of database test programs
- Definition and integration of database components
- Physical database design
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of databases
- Participate in coordination and project meetings
- Other web application development
Job Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems
- In-depth knowledge of SQL
- Good knowledge of modelling database tools
- Good knowledge of stored procedure languages (eg PL/SQL)
- Good knowledge of application development
- Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application design and development
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Excellent working knowledge of English (both spoken and written) and ease of communication is mandatory
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.
Education & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum of 4 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL
- Experience with programming languages
- Experience with DB modelling tools
- Experience in web application development
- Experienced in Relational Database Management Systems
- Experienced in agile software development methodologies (Scrum)
- Experienced in Java and web technologies and standards
- Knowledge of XML, SOAP technologies
- Experienced in version control using SVN
