A direct Minneapolis, MN client seeks a WebSphere Support Admin to help meet customer needs for project work, service and support.
Start Date: September 2015 End Date: December 2015 with extension.
Description of Work to Be Performed and the Specific Skill Sets Needed:
Consultant will be knowledgeable in:
- WebSphere Application Services administration,
- Multiple version environment service and support hosted on both Windows and Linux.
- Consultant must be capable of deploying and installing applications, configuring, and executing all project tasks that require WebSphere Application Services.
- Under direction, will perform work of considerable difficulty as a specialist engaged in WebSphere/Web Service offerings.
Demonstrated skills as individual and/or part of team:
Plan, apply, & validate upgrades of vendor software minimizing service interruption.
Deployment of applications following established procedures & processes.
Consult with application developers/team leads supporting deployment & planning applications across multiple environments.
Solve the problems and reported issues Web Services & WebSphere.
Participate in assignments that require technical & systems knowledge, and function as member of team contributing to service provision.
. Consultant familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts and practices desirable having worked with enterprise ticketing system for work and or issue resolutions with defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) & Operational Level Agreements.

WebSphere Application Services service & support administration
Work task completion documentation as part of time reporting
Process improvement recommendations based on observations
Work may involve some weekend time based on customer deployment needs
