Our multinational Technology & Consulting client is looking for a Senior SQL DBA/Senior SQL Database Administrator to join on a 1 year extend able contract on-site with a leading Dutch Banking client. Please note: English language skills are sufficient, however Dutch would be a bonus.
The successful SQL DBA/SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for the delivery of new databases and to make sure that they meet the requirements of the customer. You will ensure the optimal availability and performance of databases.
The successful SQL DBA/SQL Database Administrator will work closely with colleagues in other countries and will be continuously working on different projects. There is also an opportunity to move into a different department into a Team Leader/Manager role if happy and competent.. Relevant work experience in a change environment is an absolute must.
Required experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as a SQL Database Administrator (change) in an enterprise environment;
- Experience with improving performance (tuning), data migration and data management;
- Experience with 2nd and/or 3rd line incident handling.
- Experience in a complex (process-centric) organisation is a must, as well able to cope with deadlines and dynamics of a project organisation.
Required knowledge
- Knowledge of logical and physical data modelling;
- Knowledge of Security;
- Knowledge of database design, data management and data migration is a must;
- Knowledge data warehouses and business intelligence;
- Knowledge of financial services is a plus, not a must.
- Preferably knowledge of Oracle Databases (9i, 10g), AIX, DB2 or Sybase;
