They are currently seeking a Linux/Unix Middleware Support Analyst to join their team.
This position is on the UNIX/Linux Systems Support team within the Infrastructure Services department in IT. This position will be responsible primarily for technical support of application, web and Middleware components on UNIX and Linux infrastructure. This position will be located in Atlanta, GA at the headquarters.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for configuration, installation, administration, and troubleshooting of application, web and Middleware components on Linux and UNIX infrastructure
  • Provide excellent customer service through efficient problem resolution and documentation
  • Follow standard processes for hardware, software, problem resolution and change management
  • Provide and support full life cycle management for Middleware components and server infrastructure
  • Communicate progress, problems and best practices to management, leads and teammates
  • On call support rotation is required for this position
  • Responsibilities may also include installing and maintaining server hardware and operating systems to support unique customer requirements

Job Requirements/Preferences:

  • Required: Formal education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Required: Knowledge of Linux and UNIX based operating systems and general system administration skills required. Solaris, RHL experience preferred
  • Required: Knowledge of Middleware components such as WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, Oracle Application Server, Apache, JVM
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience working with server virtualization concepts and virtualized server environments. Vmware experience preferred
  • Preferred: General knowledge of Linux/UNIX hardware platforms and other components (CPU, memory, clusters, storage area networks, etc)
  • Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to follow standard processes for hardware, software and project completion, problem resolution and change management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors and other IT organizations.
  • High aptitude for quickly learning new concepts and technologies, and ability to transition existing knowledge and skill sets to new situations
  • Ability to effectively and accurately organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, and meet tight deadlines based on priorities, and also adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work within team environment and also have the ability to work independently and take ownership of work assignments
  • Strong motivation and willingness to learn new technologies and systems and lead the effort in these areas
