Description
We're a seed-stage startup based in New York City. We’re looking for a freelance web/UX/UI designer to spearhead the front-end development of our website. The estimated workload will be ~15 hours per week, varying from week to week. Compensation will be hourly at rates competitive for freelance design. Applicants outside the U.S. are welcome.
What you’ll do:
Bring design products from concept, to wireframes, to prototypes, to full responsive HTML/CSS implementation
Develop designs that enhance the strength of the brand through style guides, typography and visual imagery
Represent the user’s interests and identify opportunities to improve the user experience throughout the firm’s online presence
Participate in weekly calls with the team to review designs and check-in on milestones
Generate inspiration from other great web products
Who we're looking for:
Individual with 3+ years of web design experience and a strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity and attention to detail
Able to develop a pixel-perfect design and implement it through responsive, mobile-friendly implementation
Expert-level knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience with layout, typography and imagery and ability to integrate these elements in a way that communicates a brand’s values
Someone with strong opinions that can advocate for the needs of the user and synthesize complexity into clear design ideas.
