Senior Data Centre Engineer - 6 Months - SheffieldA fantastic opportunity has arisen with one of the UK's leading and most innovative IT consultancies based just outside Sheffield City Centre. They are currently on the lookout for a Senior Data Centre Engineer on a 6 month contract to join their team, due to a large project demand.
You will be part of the large Infrastructure and Networks team within the company who work on a number of different projects within both the private and public sectors, along with a number of blue chip clientele.
Rate: £400-£430 p/d DOE
Length: 6 Months
Location: Sheffield City Centre
Essential Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge or VMware ESX version 5.x or 6.x infrastructure.
- Strong Knowledge or Windows Server operating systems architecture, admin, setup and design.
- Scripting knowledge(preferably Powershell)
- Experience with automation toolsets and theories(Chef and vRealize preferred)
- Understanding of HP Blade center server architecture
- ITIL, SOC, PCI(Working knowledge of best practices and IT governance).
Job Duties:
The most exciting thing about this role is, no day is different! You will be part of a team that will be leading, implementing and maintaining high level and corporate servers and data centre environments in some physical but mainly a virtual platform. This role will have many different legs to it, but I can assure you will be a unique challenge and an exciting role for the right person.
