Job Description:- Primary role of the successful candidate will be as an application installation and support analyst for Technical Information authoring systems
- These applications are primarily based on Windchill Service Information Manager and Windchill Service Parts software developed by an outside supplier.
- Candidate will be part of a team responsible for support and development of custom code, integrations and configuration of third party software used for authoring and illustrations.
- Participation in implementation efforts for Windchill SIM/SP platform - includes Windchill installation, upgrades, applying patches, rehosting
- Supporting Windchill based environments for development and post go-live usage
- Monitoring Windchill based environments for availability and performance
- Collaboration with internal team members and outside supplier(s) on support and development projects
- Testing to ensure quality of functionality before deployment to production
- Adhere to Enterprise Architecture guidelines for new and existing applications
- Level 2 application support - includes participation in Off-shift support rotation as part of a team of support analysts
Qualifications:
- A successful candidate must have the following
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of PTC Windchill software installation experience
- Must have strong team work and communication skills in order to work with a diverse team of internal analysts and software suppliers
- Must have Strong technical skills, and ability to learn new applications quickly
- Experience with the following technologies is required
- Linux, Tomcat, Oracle Database, Windows and Linux Scripting
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in support of development projects related to PTC Windchill and Arbortext including:
- Understanding of Windchill out of the box capability and configurations
- Understanding of Windchill data and object model
- Support/develop Integrations using InfoEngine
- Support/develop Custom UI development (preferably using Google Web Toolkit)
- Support/develop Batch Java code, GWT/GXT, XML, C, C#
- Support/configure Publish Engine, Support/develop XSLT/stylesheets, ACLs for Arbortext Editor
- Experience with developing Cognos reports, PTC's System Monitor (using Dynatrace)
