Description

Summary
  • Assist and comply with all company and plant strategies for management and control.
  • The position will have responsibility to drive plant productivity and supplier continuous improvement for the spare parts category and provide linkage between suppliers and the maintenance team.
  • In addition, the position will be responsible for interfacing with the Buying Center to ensure materials are followed through from the time of purchase requisition creation through goods receipt.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison between the Storeroom, Maintenance, and the Buying Center in creating Maintenance related manual purchase requisitions and follow up
  • Creates all manual purchase requisitions in SAP for Storeroom, Maintenance Leads, and Planners.
  • Coordinate changes to purchase requisitions with the Buying Center surrounding pricing, quantity changes, vendor corrections, delivery date changes, unit of measure, etc.
  • Work closely with Finance to eliminate invoice exceptions
  • Advise Buying Center when vendor info records require updating
  • Run Open Purchase Order reports; monitor and expedite overdue PO's.
  • Follow up with vendors and Buying Center
  • Create new material adds to the SAP system
  • Work closely with Storeroom, Maintenance Leads, and Maintenance Planners who request new material adds within SAP. (ACD Process)
  • Follow up with Emergency PO's to ensure ACD's are created for materials not currently in SAP
  • Coordinate new equipment critical spares with Asset Reliability Team to ensure new materials area added into the system, tagged as critical in a timely manner
  • Look for duplicate materials and OEM materials that are commercially available and take necessary steps in the ACD process.
  • Facilitate formal cycle count process for Storeroom Attendants
  • Coordinate any material master changes needed with Storeroom Attendants
  • Consolidation of duplicate parts
  • ACD to delete obsolete and invalid materials
  • Corrections to MRP types and CC indicators
  • Coordinate and handle all paperwork for the external repair process of parts, lift trucks, etc.
  • Purchase Requisitions update pricing
  • MSO's (Misc. shipping order)
  • Contacting vendors
  • Hand off quotes to Storeroom Lead or Maintenance Planners for approval
  • Document period spend history for repairables
  • Provide vacation and absence coverage for Storeroom Lead
  • Run by-weekly MRP (replenishment of parts)
  • Oversee the cycle count process with Storeroom Attendants
  • Time reporting for Storeroom Attendants within SAP
  • Key focus on Storeroom, Maintenance, Plant, and Business goals.
  • Understand Storeroom and Maintenance Team related SOP's
  • Comply with all International policies, procedures, and GMPs
SKILLS:

Qualifications
  • Inventory Control, or Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Computer savvy - keyboarding skills, typing skills and literacy in Microsoft Office business application software. SAP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of procurement preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to convey ideas and facts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability and desire to proactively analyze and improve the process through knowledge of SAP system and utilizing Microsoft Office Business applications.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, leadership, patience, diplomacy, high ethical standards, and a positive, cooperative attitude.
  • Candidate possesses strong analytical, organizational, administrative, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Must have a Team Player attitude and have strong customer relations

Physical Demands
  • Able to sit for long periods at a time at the computer
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance manuals, spare part lists and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively
