C# WCF Front Office Developer - London £500 - £625/day - Long project
C# Winforms WCF
Main Purpose of the role:
The successful candidate will join a small font-office focussed development team working on the expansion of an existing in-house trading platform serving the Equity Derivatives business. Particular emphasis is on complex exotic products, from trade booking through to verification, documentation, payments and reporting.
The technology stack is primarily C#, WCF, WinForms and SQL Server 2008 R2. The candidate will be expected to liaise with trading, sales, Back Office/market operations users and technicians in other development teams.
The candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment with demanding clients. The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to these business areas as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
Extensive experience using the C# programming language
Extensive .NET development experience - familiarity with the latest IDEs (principally Visual Studio 2013) and core concepts (eg Linq, new .NET Framework 4.0 features, etc.)
Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design
Previous WinForms GUI development experience
Previous experience programming services using WCF
Extensive experience working with XML data structures, parsing and processing XML using the .NET Framework
Knowledge of SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2008
Previous experience in Banking and Finance in a Front Office orientated role
Must possess a flexible and team-centric attitude to development
Desirable:
Previous experience of derivative products or working in a Front Office facing environment
Experience with DevExpress/Dexperience custom controls
Experience with Team Foundation Server for source code version control and branching
